China and Kenya, strengthen cooperation

          China and Kenya now have cultural and economic exchanges, and Kenya is China's largest trading partner in East Africa.

         On the morning of April 24, President Xi Jinping held talks with Kenyan President Ruto, who was on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping pointed out that over the 62 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Kenya have always respected and supported each other, inherited the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation and the spirit of the Silk Road, and promoted the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries to a new level. It is a strategic choice for both sides to upgrade China-Kenya relations to a new era of China-Kenya community of shared future. China is willing to work with Kenya to follow the historical trend and the general trend of the times, create a new era of all-weather China-Africa community of shared future model, and lead the development of China-Africa relations and global South solidarity and cooperation.

        Building a community of shared future is the right way of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and win-win, and "joint efforts". China and Kenya should continue to firmly support each other in safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests, firmly support each other in exploring development paths that suit their national conditions, deepen exchanges of experience in governance, and be companions and true friends on the road to modernization. The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative is a shining name card of the cooperation between the two countries. We should strengthen regular policy communication, promote high-level connectivity, promote sustainable trade, explore diversified financial and capital flows, continue the friendship and people-to-people exchanges between generations, and be the leader of high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. China's super-large market has always been open to Kenya's high-quality products. China encourages more powerful Chinese companies to invest and start businesses in Kenya. As important members of the global South, China and Kenya should firmly defend the international system with the United Nations at its core with practical actions, promote global governance of consultation, joint construction and sharing, practice true multilateralism, promote the construction of an equal and orderly world of multipolarization, inclusive and inclusive economic globalization, and promote the world towards a bright prospect of peace, security, prosperity and progress.
