ST70KN Heart-shaped Hanger Thimble Clevis

The ST 70KN heart-shaped connector, also known as the Thimble Clevis, is a specialized connecting hardware for overhead power lines. The product designation ST70KN indicates a rated breaking load of 70 kN. It is a core component of pre-twisted guy wire tension assemblies and is widely used in conjunction with pre-twisted wire guy clamps (dead end guy grips) to achieve load transfer in distribution network power poles and communication tower guy wire systems.

Material Description

The main body is made of high-strength ductile iron/malleable cast iron, with stable mechanical properties, impact resistance, and resistance to brittle fracture; Surface treatment: hot-dip galvanizing process, with a thick and uniform zinc layer, conforming to the national standard GB/T 2694 and the overseas ASTM A153 galvanizing standard, effectively resisting corrosion from outdoor rain, saline-alkali, and humid environments, and suitable for long-term outdoor service in coastal, desert, and rainy areas.

Production process

Precision sand casting: One-piece casting with a streamlined internal cavity eliminates stress concentration at sharp corners and prevents damage to the pre-twisted wires due to pressure and compression; 

Polishing and finishing: All edges are rounded to remove burrs and sharp edges, protecting the outer layer of the pre-twisted wires; 

Hot-dip galvanizing: High-temperature galvanizing ensures strong zinc adhesion, preventing peeling and incomplete galvanizing; 

Pressure testing and marking: Each product is marked with a die-casting load of ST70KN, and each batch undergoes random mechanical tensile testing before leaving the factory to ensure that the minimum destructive load meets the standard; Optional matching pins and cotter pins are available for easy assembly.

Reference dimensions (ST70KN standard model): Total length approximately 125mm, maximum width 72mm, ball joint interface is a universal standard size (can be precisely customized according to drawings).
