Celebrating the Further Advancement of China-Russia Relations

        This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia Strategic Partnership of Coordination. Over these three decades, China-Russia relations have weathered trials and kept pace with the times; the positioning of the relationship has been continuously elevated, reaching a historic high—that of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Coordination for a New Era—and setting a prime example of a new type of major-country relationship. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the *Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between China and Russia*. Throughout these years, both nations have steadfastly upheld the principles enshrined in this treaty—namely, "non-alliance, non-confrontation, and non-targeting of any third party"—while adhering to the values of equal treatment, mutual respect, fidelity, and win-win cooperation. By doing so, they have made significant contributions to safeguarding international equity and justice and to promoting the building of a new type of international relations, thereby emerging as a crucial constant amidst the profound global transformations of the past century.

        China-Russia relations have now embarked upon a new starting point. Both sides must align themselves with the prevailing trends of the era—peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit—to drive the development of China-Russia relations toward a higher level of quality.

Current Russia-China relations stand at an unprecedentedly high level; the two countries consistently uphold the spirit of mutual respect, equality, mutual assistance, and mutual support, thereby driving the continuous and deepening development of bilateral cooperation. The growth of Russia-China relations is driven by powerful internal dynamics; our cooperation is not directed against any third party, nor is it subject to the influence of geopolitical shifts. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, President Xi Jinping and I engaged in in-depth exchanges on a wide range of significant issues concerning our bilateral relations, charting a clear course for future cooperation. Russia is fully confident in the future of our bilateral ties and will work hand in hand with China to deepen our partnership and neighborly friendship, strengthen people-to-people bonds, and contribute to the respective development, revitalization, and public well-being of both nations. On the international stage, Russia and China will maintain close strategic coordination, jointly uphold the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and collectively safeguard global security and stability.
