Pig Tail Screws

"Pig Tail Screws" are products treated with a specific electroplating process. They get their name from their unique tail design—the end has a loop, semi-loop, or hook-shaped curve, resembling a pig's tail. This design allows for connection, suspension, and fixation, while also allowing 360-degree rotation or quick access.

Core Applications:

1. Electrical and Equipment Installation: Used for fixing and securing covers of control boxes, instruments, cable trays, etc., facilitating quick and easy access for maintenance.

2. Hanging and Display Systems: Used for hanging merchandise, signs, posters, lamps, decorations, etc., especially in retail stores, shopping malls, showrooms, and museums. It allows the suspended items to rotate freely for easy viewing.

Production Process:

 Handan Jinmai typically uses low-carbon steel – cold heading (cutting, upsetting, thread rolling, tail bending) – electro-galvanizing (hot-dip galvanizing is also available) – quality inspection: checking coating thickness (using a thickness gauge), adhesion (e.g., bending, file test), salt spray test (assessing rust resistance), and appearance (uniform color, no missed plating, blistering, etc.)

For size selection, the appropriate screw diameter, material, and strength grade should be chosen based on load-bearing requirements. Over-tightening during installation is not recommended, especially when the tail ring is thin, to avoid deformation or breakage. In critical suspension applications, the tightness and signs of corrosion should be checked regularly.
